The joys of legal aptronym

Posted by Steve Loynes May 1 2009 04:47pm

It’s not news to anyone at Chameleon that I despise admin, paperwork and forms of all sWright Hassleorts, along with the UK’s rising propensity to resort to the legal system for the most mundane of reasons.

So, driving through Leamington Spa recently, I was delighted to spot a perfectly named firm of solicitors; Wright Hassall.

The term for such an appropriate name I’ve since found out, thanks to the wonders of Google and Wikipedia, is an aptronym.

Now that Chameleon, and sister agency Komodo, is part of the Reptile Group, I’m wondering if we should open an agency that specialises in depositioning called Snake PR.
