Chameleon PR, the IT PR specialist, has been appointed as the retained PR consultancy for Cedar Knowledge Solutions, a subsidiary of Alchemy Partners and provider of business intelligence and customer relationship management (CRM) solutions to the financial services sector. The appointment follows the success of a media relations campaign Chameleon carried out for Cedar to promote its work with Marks & Spencer Financial Services.
As well as providing core media relations support, Chameleon will integrate a number of separate PR campaigns focusing on other key Cedar Knowledge Solutions customers such as the Prudential and Standard Life.
Chameleon's appointment follows an initial six month pilot PR programme which resulted in an increase in ESRI (UK)'s press coverage by 80 per cent. The account will be handled by Chameleon's senior consultants, Rob Skinner and Jillian Alexander.
Roger Burrage, marketing manager at Cedar says:
"Originally we approached Chameleon on an ad hoc basis, but the results have proved so fruitful that we have appointed the consultancy on a retained basis. As has already been proved, Chameleon has provided us with enhanced mindshare in the financial services sector enabling us to increase our dialogue and business with insurance companies and banks."
Helen Holland, managing director at Chameleon adds:
"'In light of today's ever tightening marketing budgets, Chameleon recognises that not every client is in a position to sign up for an ongoing retained PR campaign. That's why we also offer a campaign based approach to PR. In the case of Cedar, this proved so successful, that the company was able to increase PR activities to a retained level."
